During the period 13th-16th January 2017 took place Axa WZL a wildlife survey in NE Poland and Lituania. The activity was organized by Baltijos Vilkas NGO Vilnius Lithuania and Ecology Department of NGO Crispus Sibiu Romania. There were installed more than 30 calling stations in Wigry National Park
(NE Poland), Žuvinto Biosphere Reserve These points will be used systematically for future jackal density determinations, to evaluate if this species will be able to spread and establish survival clusters and teritorial groups in the region. During the meeting the organizers shared data of wolf, jackal and other carnivore distribution and ecology during the 2nd Jackal International Colloquium. This colloquium took place in Lazdijai locality on day 14th of January.
